ASA NORTHWEST TOUR BURROWS TRACTOR
125 AT YAKIMA SPEEDWAY
May 19, 2008 Ellensburg, WA The ASA Aero Exhaust Northwest
Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment is finally ready to
get the season started this Saturday May 24th. The traveling series
in 2008 has had weather and other problems plaguing the start of the
season. With the weather forecasted to be clear at the fabled Yakima
Speedway in Yakima, Washington the Late Model Stock Car series is
ready to traverse the .500-mile oval for the Burrows Tractor 125.
A contingent of the Northwests best drivers is anxious to get the
season started. After the scheduled opener in March was snowed out
it has been a long spell since many of these drivers have climbed
behind the wheel.
On Saturday May 24 as part of the Memorial Day weekend at Yakima
Speedway the ASANWT will be featured. The afternoon practice session
will not only be for knocking the rust off but also for getting the
car ready to be challenged by the track that some say can not be
tamed.
Three former series champions will be on hand to do battle. Ron
Eaton, Kelly Tanner and Pete Harding share seven crowns. Many of the
best from the Northwest will be vying to become the next big winner
of an ASANWT race at Yakima Speedway. With the predicted good
weather and the itch to go racing that list is growing daily.
