FIRST RACE FOR ASA NORTHWEST TOUR IS ALMOST HERE.
April 20, 2007 – The inaugural season for the ASA Aero Exhaust Northwest Tour is about to begin. The first race, of the eight-race season, is set for May 5, 2007 at South Sound Speedway.  Entry Form available here!

There is a scheduled practice from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. set for Friday May 4^th.

Pit gates will open at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Many of the same officials will be returning. Jim Mikelson will be the race director. Scott Ellsworth will be in charge of the administrative side of the event. Tom Wilson will flag and as we move closer to the opening, Jim Mikelson is putting his team of officials together. Gib and Jean Repass will be helping coordinate the efforts.

The same race procedures that have been in effect on the Tour will remain, with a few exceptions. Inspections will be very close, as in the past that competitors have become accustomed to.

One noticeable and strong rule will be the enforcement of a 4” maximum exhaust system. The inlet, outlet of the muffler and tailpipe must be no larger than 4 inches, there will be no exceptions to this rule.

Tires for 2007 will be Goodyear rights # 2602 and lefts # 2572. Tires can be purchased at Winners Choice 509 457-4001 – Tires for practice can be picked up at any time, but tires used for qualifying and racing MUST be picked up at the track when ASA officials release them. Arrangements for the sizing and mounting can be done before the event with Winners Choice.

 We would really appreciate as much cooperation as possible from every competitor to make our opening event a huge success. A good showing of cars and the usual great racing will put our series into the spotlight for the future. We are aware that we will have many growing pains, but our promise to you is to do the best possible job we can for you as we all strive to keep the great Northwest Tour going for many years to come.
