ADDS ANOTHER DATE TO SCHEDULE Feb.22, 2007 – Officials for the newly formed ASA Northwest Tour recently announced the addition of Meridian Speedway in Meridian, Idaho to the 2007 schedule. The date of the 150-lap event is August 11, 2007. Ron Bennett, series administrator, said, “The commitment from Ken Hamilton at Meridian Speedway to join our series is a big asset. Mr. Hamilton has worked very hard with us to secure a date for the 150 lap event, at this late date in scheduling, it is greatly appreciated”. The addition of the exciting ¼ mile track brings the season races to seven. Other venues are still being sought. Ken Hamilton, legendary open wheel racer, is “extremely happy to be part of the ASA Northwest Tour. We are pleased and proud to be asked to join in this effort. With ASA involvement, the commitment from the racers and support people from throughout the Northwest, this series will only grow and prosper”. The Idaho track will be joining Yakima Speedway in Yakima Washington, State Line Stadium/Speedway in Post Falls, Idaho and South Sound Speedway in Rochester, Washington for events in the upcoming season.
